June 16th

Well 1/2 the roof on the guest house has been replaced. The other half is OK for now. They started on Friday-removing the old roof, making repairs of the beams and replacing the tin. Three days = three parts.

This means that the building will be able to be used for housing of the conferences this summer. This also means that any leaks can be identified over the next several months and repaired before a small team comes in November to hang the ceiling and work on the inside.

Cory has spent most of the day working on office work and finances. He is thankful to be done.

We continue to prepare to travel to LaGonave and the States. Since we have visits set up for 9 churches plus the open house, and West Michigan's Wesleyan medical fellowship we are also working on our power point pictures.

The details for the 50th celebration are getting worked on. We have 14 people traveling from the States. The first are to arrive in Port-au-Prince tomorrow-they are coming early to help with the preparations.

The trees are doing great! Not one was lost and all are adjusting well. We have had a lot of rain which is unusual for this location in June. We have started to pray for good seas on the 25, 26 and 30th when boat trips are planned to LaGonave.
