Cory and I started the weekend on Friday by mowing the lawn. The grass doesn't grow fast, hasn't been mowed since January, but the weeds were taking over. I mowed the front and remembered the summers in college I mowed cemeteries and the town hall. It was a good job-could be fit in around summer classes, was outside, and most important-I could see what I had done at the end of the day.
It was important to see what I had accomplished as a student. Often, after hours of study, all I had to show for it was the feeling that I had to study more. Eli has to build a model of a castle for school , so he spent part of his weekend painting small cardboard boxes.

We went and visited a new church this weekend. Blue Hills Wesleyan church near Cap Haitian. We must of driven by thousands of mangoes being shipped to market. We left the compound about 6 and got there at 7:30 but the service had already started. This did mean that it was done shortly after 9-when it was getting hot.
We went to a teachers house afterwards-he showed Cory his small Moringa tree. And his wife used to be a nurse at Fauche but is now running her own clinic out of the front of the house. We had a nice visit and walked down to see where little row boats ferry people across the canal.

For Mother's Day we had a chance to instant message with both our moms and Kris's brother.
