Feb. 8th

The storage cupboard is now moved into the house. Dad and Gene put the doors on it and set it up. They found the right number of hinges in Cory's stuff for the cupboard. After that project they made a step for my patients to get up on the exam table. Up to now I've been using a couple of bricks but the new administrator didn't think it looked nice enough.

They also made a wooden cart to hold the small EKG machine and the dopplar-used to check the fetal heartbeat during pregnancy. This will have wheels and a cover to protect the machinery. Shelves were added in a kitchen cupboard for spices.

Ron and the electrical crew replaced a ceiling fan in our living room, added a light over the kitchen sink, a motion detector security light over the back door and fixed two outlets in our bed room. They also finised adding an outlet to our bathroom.

Gerda and Sadie are in a routine of cooking, laundry, sewing and helping Anna with school. Mom and I did some painting, cleaning, and moving dressers around. We will likely be homeschooling next year so need to have both the kid's desks by outlets and not to close together. A couple of pieces of furniture have been moved down to the guest house to be used by visitors.

Cory worked on driver's licences and shopped in Port-au-Prince. While the cell phones can be an interruption at times they are a blessing when Cory is in Port-au-Prince to ask questions and stay connected. He is planning on heading back today.
