Cory has left for LaGonave and then on to Port-au-Prince.
Yesterday he worked with Ron to finish up the inverter system in our house and then they set up a smaller system for the clinic/hospital. Currently if they need a light for an emergency or delivery they send the watchman for John Pierre who starts up the generator. The generator then runs the electric [gasoline is about $5.50 a gallon] Now 4 batteries will charge when the goverment power is on. This can also run the laboratory equipment.
Mom painted the storeroom door and varnished the storage cabnet. Sadie and Gerda worked with the cooks and did the laundry. Sadie has become Anna's school teacher for the week while I work with Eli.
Dad and Gene also worked on a shelving system for the back shed. They look forward to being able to spread out the tools and organize them. I look forward to fewer tools on my living room book shelves.
The kids and I packed up some medical supplies up for LaGonave. Mom returned in the aftenoon to help us. She made the mistake of looking into the room that contains the boxes we haven't done yet-there is still a huge pile.
Please pray for my brother and sister-in-law. Beth had thyroid surgery last month and next week Todd has to have a Achilies tendon repair.
