Feb. 18th

This is the final week of the team, next Monday they will be leaving us.

Yesterday we headed out to a new church-both for us and the team. We thought that it would be just a 20 minute ride to near Limbe but forgot that the Limbe valley goes all the way to the sea. So the ride was closer to 50 minutes since the church was near the sea. We visited the Petit Tward church at "Bas Limbe" with Pastor Jonas.

Church was good. We were all presented, there were 3 special musics plus Dad got the chilren to sing with him in Creole 'My Father's House'. Pastor Marc preached using an interperter. They did well.

Following church we saw the school. Because the students had done so well on their Government exams a few years ago. A organization from Europe came in and built new school buildings. This was the nicests school we have seen in Haiti.

Lunch had been prepared for us-rice and beans, fish, fried cooking banana's and veggies. After the meal we went to see the beach. Surprizing to us was that the sand was black, not tan like the beach on Saturday. We arrived back home about 3 p.m.

Mom became ill at supper time. She is doing a bit better but please remember her and the team in your prayers.
