Family Arrival

Yesterday afternoon we finished up school a bit early so that we could attend our church's Good Friday service.
Per tradition the 7 Sayings of Christ on the cross with different people sharing a short devotional with each set of verses and with singing between each one.

Once back to the house we ate supper and started cleaning. The cleaning and organizing continued this morning until Cory, Eli and Anna headed for Cap Haitian to pick up our visitors.

With the flight delay out of Florida they had extra time to do some shopping. They tried to visit two bookstores but both were closed for the holidays.

Cory stopped at the restaurant before heading to the airport and placed their lunch order. Glad they didn't need to wait as it was close to 3 p.m. by the time they arrived to eat.

Thankfully they made it back to Fauche shortly before 6 so a bit of unpacking and running off some energy for the younger crowd before supper.

Haitian spagettii, coleslaw, and cherry crumb cake.

We're sharing highs, lows and surprises: for most of the kids a high was riding in the back of the truck.

Lows: delay, waiting and lack of sleep.

Surprises so far mostly about the traffic.

Kids did dishes while the adults talked. Early bed as we will get up to travel for Sunrise service at Cowman International school near Cap Haitian.
