A week of education and celebration.

Book Herder Project time after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Some of the children just look at the books while the library is open.  We worked hard this week in school putting in some extra time and lessons.

Celebrating America's Independence Day with corn on the cob [field corn tasty but hard], hamburgers and three tired homemade frozen 'popsicles'.

Cory shares with the men attending conference this week about plants.

Nice to hear some personal testimonies about donated plants/trees from other times doing well.

One man talked about how his family had been 'afraid' to try chaya but after hearing Cory did and they liked it.

I shared a few pointers on 1st aid accident care: splinting, pressure for bleeding, how to transport and wound care.

Back in the 1842 an earthquake hit northern Haiti, killing half of the population of Cap Haitian.

Basic first aid training can help prepare people to help following motor vehicle accidents, earthquakes or other accidents.
