Sunday 17th

Kris reported this evening on Facebook that she helped with the clinic at Carfour Feuilles Wesleyan school today in Port au Prince. She joined the group of several medical people from LaGonave working there and they are staying at Gilles house/guest house at night. We should start getting more news from the team now.

Janice Cotrone, a missionary nurse who served on LaGonave before we were there is arriving Monday with Dr. Steve Edmondson on one of 3 planes loaded with supplies from Amway. They plan to set up a big clinic at the Carfour school and there will be 8 marines helping and as guards.

In the North things are about the same but the news makes it more and more clear how much this will effect the whole country and how much the Port au Prince area (with 1/3 of the countries total population) will be evacuated. I've been asked to decide by tomorrow about whether the teams that are planning to come later this month and in February should come or not.

You don't know me, but your wife and I correspond occasionally. I do the His Hands newsletter and got connected with your blog through that. Just getting a chance to catch up on the blog. Will be praying for Kris' safety and for the wellbeing of your family and those in Haiti.
