14 Oct. Banana Plants and Newsletters.

Cory did manage to get most of the newsletters printed and got to return to his beloved garden work. He has give out over 100 disease resistant banana plants, [Mona Lisa] in the last two days.
Gener and he are visiting local neighbors on foot and giving banana plants to those who haven't received any yet. Many people are asking for more and one person confessed that his plant was eaten by a goat.

Nope-we don't have enough plants to give second plants to those who didn't protect the first one. Each family only receives one-two types of banana plants.

Cory has been surprised how many houses are tucked away off the main road, within a easy 10 minute walk from the house. He has visited over two hundred houses since our return distributing banana trees [5 different types]. This is a trial to test these banana types in different soil types and environmental conditions and see how they do.

Eli, Anna and I are using our read-out loud time to prepare newsletters for mailing.

We are on school lesson 88 of 180. We enjoyed starting 4 new books yesterday. Eli and Anna enjoy listening to both the read-alouds, and each have their own books to read to themselves. If they are working on projects like newsletters or planting Moringa tree seeds I also read their books out loud.

Wow, you're WAY ahead of their cousins in school! Great news you've gotten out so many banana plants...can't think of a better school project than helping with that and newsletters.
