16th Oct. Newsletters, World Food Day

We continued to work on the Newsletters on Wednesday but we ended up learning an important life lesson. It pays to stay organized!!!!

Basically as the kids and I worked on the envelopes we got very mixed up. We ended up with:
  • envelopes stamped, addressed, with return address, newsletter and sealed.
  • envelopes stamped, addressed, with return address, sealed BUT no newsletter [had to be unsealed]
  • envelopes stamped, addressed, with return address, newsletter BUT not sealed.
  • envelopes stamped, with return address and newsletter BUT no address label
  • envelopes stamped, with address and newsletter BUT no newsletter
  • envelopes stamped with address, newsletter, sealed BUT no return address
  • envelopes stamped, with return address
  • envelopes with return address and nothing else.
Needless to say tempers were short and nerves were frayed by the time we got everything sorted out. The picture was taken in the morning before the smiles faded away.

We're thankful as a family that by the time we are ready to put out another newsletter we should have a team here with my folks who are always more than willing to help out.

This afternoon Cory, Chris, and Kathleen are planning to visit Pastor Immanuel's church to deliver and hand out disease resistant banana trees and Moringa trees. A great way to celebrate World Food Day.

I heard that a witch doctor had recently made a commitment to the Lord in this church and burned all his items associated with his past worship. We pray that he and his family will faithfully grow in their new life in Christ.

You should also post an "after" picture of your kids when the whole newsletter ordeal was over. Then we would know you are just like any other family. HA!!!

Oh, don't worry. Even without photographic evidence you can be sure that we're like other families. It wasn't pretty but the kids and I did have a good talk in Bible the next day. About being servants for the Lord and keeping a good attitude.

Okay, loved the "variety" of letter mishap! The photo does LOOK very organized... =)
