22 Aug. Chris and Kathleen made it!

Chris and Kathleen receiving greetings from Pastor Denord, the district superintendent of the North. He met us at the airport and helped with the bags. We're all thankful that they made it with their stuff.

We did do some school and last minute things before heading to Cap Haitian. The Dearest House was ready. Anna even planted a flower in the front.

We were at the airport about 12:40 p.m. as their original arrival time was 1 p.m. but.......were soon told that they would be coming in at 3 p.m. Thankfully we had brought the Game boys and some Sonlight reading books. The seats could have been a bit softer. The luggage rollers were interesting but there was a big fan. Their plane came in about 2:30.

Finally they arrived and customs went smoothly. On the road....we went to two grocery stores and also bought them a phone. Took me 9+ years to get a cell phone but on LaGonave we had phones in the compound homes.

Arrived back at Fauche just about sunset. Pastor Jonus and Pastor Immanuel came up to met Chris and Kathleen and we had a nice prayer. Pumpkin soup for supper [already prepared while we were gone]. A quick check of E-mail, showers and bed. A good day.

We are glad that Chris and Kathleen finally made it. We've been following your blog. I am having tea right now with Joyce Dalman and Gertrude Fulk. Gertrude has been in town since Wednesday and spoke to the seniors at Home Acres Church (where Darrell Dalman is pastor). Gertrude says to tell you hello and that she prays for you definitely every morning and for you to be encouraged. If you have any messages for her, please send them to Joyce and Joyce will see that Gertrude gets the message. She will be going back to Indiana tomorrow afternoon.

How nice to sit and chat with Gertrude and Joyce. I'm sure you were blessed. My folks wanted to hear her speak but I guess they missed it. We are very grateful for all the prayers and support.
