Now when they were looking for supplies to make this bat house the only boards that were available were the rough cut Mahogany ones that had been harvested from off the campus.
S0 yesterday the guys decided the time had come to put up the bat house. This tree is located
between our house and the House of Hope.
First had to get the ladder, then the drill, then try to get the screw in at a good angle and finally the bat house. Eli took these pictures.
Unfortunately while Mahogany may be good for some wood projects-it is a bit heavy for a bat
house.
Guess they'll have to try again later.
While we were busy with school Cory and help worked on transplanting some Vetiver grass. Vetiver can make a good barrier for kids, dogs, goats, chickens, and water.
This line is now between the school and the Dearest House. A path once cut through here under the barbed wire.
We hope this will offer the Dearest House a bit more privacy.
Location the Vetiver was taken from-now easier access to the compost pile.
Cory is standing behind the second wall of Vetiver-in the garden proper.

I'm sorry to hear about the bat house. You have to try again with a different wood. Those bats are great for eating up flying bugs at night.
That's how a lot of our projects turn out! Keep trying!
My brother shrunk in that last pic =)
