Happy May Day. Happy Agricultural Day.

Years ago my Dad promised the grandkids that when they were all old enough we would take a family vacation to visit Mickey Mouse in Florida. Well, we are in count-down mode. Today my brother, sister-in-law, Cory and myself went shopping for the food.

Growing up my folks took us mostly on mission trips-starting when I was in kindergarten and brother still in diapers. As it was hard to leave the farm when we did leave for 'vacation' it was a big deal. Work teams were normal for us. Chicago, South Dakota, Haiti, local areas in Michigan we went to work, meet interesting people and see the sites. We had fun and learned a lot.

Now that both our families are in full time ministry the folks are taking us on a 'real' family vacation. Time for our kids-the missionary kids and the preacher kids, to bond together and make great memories.

I'm very grateful for our family and we are very close knit. The Allegan church is having a series on family-will see how well the 11 of us do on a 22+ hour road trip [age range 67 - 5 years].

I'll try to blog but if you don't hear from me next week-it is because we are having too much fun! Updates later if your interested.
