5th Feb. 09

The rain started last night and has continued today [at least 2 inches total]. While it is not cold like winter cold in Michigan [well below freezing] it is a wet coolness that sends us looking for socks, blankets and long sleeve shirts. Hard to believe some days that we are still in Haiti so unlike the hot sunny days of LaGonave.

Rainy days are great days to curl up with a good book. Both the kids have had help today with their school work. This allowed me to get in a few hours of medical reading for me continuing education requirements.

Cory worked on the computer working on learning a new accounting program. He will need to make two trips to Cap Haitian next week to the airport.

Dad and Gene work under the roof of the carport. And Ron continued working in the Dearest House and House of Hope. John Pierre went into Cap looking for gasoline. Yesterday the drivers held a strike again protesting the rough roads.
