Dec. 18th

Another good day of school. We are planning to have complete lesson 90 by the end of the year putting us at the half way point of the school year. We are on 86 so should be able to make it with a few days off for the holidays.

Cory worked on the compound road way this morning. He says that he met the new doctor here for his year of national health service. I haven't met him yet. Last year we didn't get anyone until late January.

This afternoon Cory took a walk with Genier to see more of his land and gardens across the river. He was impressed with the fruit trees and bananas. Not many vegetables. The land is good but sometimes floods. Most of Cory's new fruit trees could grow there expanding the types and seasons.

Anna has been given a lot of beads in the last year. So the last few days she has been having 'bead parties' with her friends. The first photo you will note that they were quite Haitian and didn't smile. So I commented that I didn't see any teeth and they broke into smiles!
