Christmas Eve

Happy Birthday to Taylor.

Yesterday the kids planted 199 Moringa seeds while I read their school books to them. Eli also replanted some cups for Cory that had not germinated the first time they were planted.

Cory went to Cap Haitian to pick up cargo at the airport and do some shopping. The weather was good but the traffic bad. He didn't get all his shopping done and it was already dark by the time he made it home.

Today we have been making cookies and Carmel corn. We plan to share with the others who live on the compound tomorrow. Mom and dad figured out gifts and 'wrapped' them. Some gifts will wait until Grandpa and Grandma TerAvest come in January. Most of the gifts remain in the box or envelope that they were mailed in-our kids don't mind.

We have plans to Skype with both our families in the next few days. We enjoyed the Christmas cards that arrived in the mail yesterday and that have been coming by E-mail. We just sent out an E-mail update as well.

Weather is cool and windy a bit overcast. Cory was able to hook up a new regulator for the solar panels and even with the clouds it is charging the batteries a bit. Don't know yet if it is working to full capacity.

It is so interesting to hear via your blog how life is for a missionary family during the holidays. I just want to thank you for all that your family is doing for the Lord...you are sacrificing a lot, like being home and with family at christmas, in order to serve the people of Haiti. Thanks for all that you are doing.

Merry Christmas,
