Dec. 22

One day closer to Christmas. My kids are counting. We will do another day of school tomorrow and then take a few days off. We had a good weekend. But ONLY one guess on the photo in the last post?? Where are the creative thinkers?

Attended the young people's Harvest service at Port Margot on Sunday. Decorated with sugar cane. That afternoon they borrowed the video projector and showed a new film. We hear that they had a full house with standing room only. This would mean at least 600 people saw it.

Today we had a large clinic but had 4 doctors seeing patients. When I returned this afternoon to review and discuss labs I had to move out of 'my' room as all three of the exam rooms were all ready occupied.

When I finished with my few patients some still waiting complained that I hadn't seen enough people. But after I explained that I had to teach my children and the other doctors did not the waiting crowd understood and smiled. Children are important in Haiti as is education.

Cory and the kids went to visit his gardeners Guinea Pigs as he has new born babies. He was expecting her to have two as he had seen ours but she had four babies.

Tomorrow Cory will travel to Cap for a bit of shopping and to pick up cargo at the airport. We are hoping that more gifts have made it for Christmas but if not then we will have an extended Christmas as we usually do.
