Rain, Planting and Students Return

The local wildflowers are beautiful. Flame lily

Most of the students go home during the holidays but a few stayed and some of these were hired to help with planting.

Here they are planting agaves along the barb wire part of the garden fence to keep wild pigs and other animals out.

The older agaves along the road form an impenetrable thorny barrier which may also block fires.

About half the fenced in field is planted with avocado seeds.

The avocados that have sprouted in the nursery we are working on grafting, Kris doing most of them.

Classes started today.

We will be continuing the health, agriculture and life lessons class on Wednesdays.
