More garden photos-Cory

The village had a good rain this week, along with some other parts of Haiti. We had a couple cloudy days with sprinkles.

The political opposition is trying to shut down Haiti to help get the president to leave Feb. 7. Many roads and schools are closed.

Our workers say there isn't much food in the markets and prices went up again.  The weekend of February 14th is Carnival and that also tends to disrupt things.

We are thankful we don't need to travel and are far from the cities and protests.

Here is a recent harvest photo, a few cabbage, yacon and parsnip not shown.

Not much quantity left, most plants will need to be restarted with the rainy season.

Front row, left to right: Kiwano, strawberry, cherry tomato, scotch bonnet and bird peppers, oakra, stuffing pepper, eggplant. 2nd row: Kale, guava, long raddish, tomato, sweet pepper, pepino dulce, chayote. Back row: wax gourd, local squash.

Sweet potato likes the red clay dug from the new pond we are digging. Still looks good without irrigation.
