Dry Season

Using buckets and hose, it takes the guys a couple days to water the trees scattered around the property.

Cory generally waters the few plants remaining in the terraces and the nursery plants.

The government is restoring the fort
The guys continue to expand the second pond and have found chalky "sand" which will be mixed with cement to help seal off the pond sides that are fractured rock.

Still occasional weeding but nothing like what is needed during the rainy season.

Cory is preparing to share with a small local school, where the Agape kids attend tomorrow morning.

He will also be working on a door for the dog house to prevent our dog, Kona from following.

The problem is that her neck and head are nearly the same size so when we head out to church  or elsewhere she panics and backs out of her collar or breaks it...so the last two weeks we've had to put her on a leash and bring her with us to keep an eye on her.

Cory shared yacon and a few Konsey books
with the fort workers

I continue to help Fritzlin in our last month of 4th grade, and I'm making progress on my own continuing medical education work.

We remain VERY thankful for our internet.

Last night it didn't work for several hours which is always worrisome but thankfully no problems this morning.

Last week we were able to video a few minutes on Anna's birthday and see her open her gifts-always great to see smiling faces of friends and family.

We generally have 1-3 zoom meetings a week as well.

The fields around us are slowly turning from dull green/brown to red as the folks work up the soil in preparation for rainy season and planting time.
