Almost ready....

Outside the window a cold wind blows through the winter sunshine, shinning on both green grass and a few patches snow.

Inside the big bags sit packed and weighed; carry-ons sit open, 85% packed; electronics [Kindles, tablet, phones, internet router] are charged and packed near earphones; the main cleaning of the apartment is done.

Only the refrigerator waits cleaning until our last family meal together tonight which will lower the amount of food left for Eli to deal with after we leave.

Visit to the bank done. Phone service lined up. Anna packing to return to Calvin University. Checking our lists one more time..

We completed most of our good-byes but some of the hardest ones remain: Eli, Anna and our folks.

While we enjoyed airports [the cold overnight lay-over not so much] and plane rides...it would be great if we could fast forward from the plane landing in Haiti to getting out of the truck at home.

Airport pick up planned, along with drivers for our day in Port-au-Prince [government paperwork and shopping] and then next day's journey up the mountain.

We look forward to being home again and settling back into more of a routine. After unpacking, settling in, checking the trees/plants the next project will be once again trying to set up internet in the house-with the new cable we purchased.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
