First week in Dec. update and thoughts

Great view at the Delice village for someone doing laundry
(clicking on a photo makes it larger)
A week with little travel which is a good thing as it can be hard to go from over 2 months without getting into a vehicle to using one almost every day.

School, thank-you notes, Haiti phone calls, Konsey editing, texting with Anna, puppy playtime, internet/emails filled out week.

I went with Dad for a doctor's appointment, enjoyed Bible study and a women's Christmas tea with Mom. Cory, Fritz and I once again attended my Dad's cousin's breakfast much to Fritz's delight.

The three of us also traveled to share at Liberty Bible Chruch last Sunday and will head up to Edgetts Wesleyan tomorrow.

Cory heard that the gardens of watercress in the stream bed
were washed away by a big rain a few weeks ago
Some days I read all that I can about Haiti while others I have to stop gathering information and just pray with the information I already know and not add more. It is hard to read other's updates when your heart and mind says you should be there, participating in the ministry. It takes a lot of strength, prayers to keep my attitudes and thoughts in check.

Hard to stay in the moment, here in Michigan, doing today well, giving God the glory and honor. Focusing on being grateful for His blessings, trusting that He's got us where He wants us for His purposes even if I can't always see them.

Trusting that He will guide our plans as long as we keep asking Him, trusting, obeying the best we can even when we maybe would prefer a different path. Choosing to enjoy the family time and make memories to enjoy in the future when we will be apart.

Thank you for those praying for us and Haiti. Phone calls received this week and news report some improvement. We're looking into tickets and talking about plans, while praying for guidance, to return in January.

September 4. Fort Dwet at top of a mountain. Corn field far from the village.
