May already !

So nice to see spring flowers outside and the green grass.
April 28 snow
Since our last blog we've: had doctor's visits & shots; spoke at two churches; shared with a group of adult learners in Allegan; worked on a calendar; visited with friends; celebrated a neice's college graduation; watched Anna play intramural volleyball; worked on school work with Fritz and lots of office work.

Saturday both sets of Grandparents and Cory's sister, Lori, joined us to see Eli and team present their senior design project.

Eli plans to take the  ‘Fundamentals of Engineering' exam on Tuesday the 14th iat 3 p.m. Graduation will be on the 18th. We continue to pray for a job.

We also enjoyed seeing the diversity of the 27 different projects: from cameras, clean water, global hurricane safe housing, desalination, fruit drying, bicycles, pool sentry and more..

When his team of 5 presented he nervously shifted from foot to foot waiting for his turn to present.

Once focused on his part he did fine, but the best for me was watching his face light up and hands gesture when answering questions and pointing out features of the dynamometer [engine test stand].

This will allow Calvin's supermileage team to test modifications to their engines on campus as they compete to build the most fuel efficient vehicle.

They also designed the dynamometer so that it can be used during engineering labs, replacing the 30 year-old equipement that is becoming less reliable.

We then attended a celebration program for the 2019 engineering graduates. The mission statement reads: The engineering program equips students to glorify God by meeting the needs of the world with responsible and caring engineering

Col. 3:23-24 Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an interitance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.

We also joined the class in singing "Great is Thy Faithfulness" a wonderful reminder. I'll leave you with the refrain:
Great is thy faithfulness!
Great is thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see:
all I have needed thy hand hath provided--
Great is they faithfulness, Lord, Unto me!
