Today we finish up with the first round of our appointments. Dental, medical, psychological [Cory and I, a requirement for our return to Haiti] and eye check-ups.
We enjoyed a visit and sharing at Kentwood Community Church on Sunday before heading north for an afternoon with Cory's Dad's family at a lake. With temperatures staying in the 70's only Anna tried the lake.
Eli is logging driving time and plans to take Michigan's second level driver's education classes in August.
Taking advantage of the summer weather and the longer time in the USA we've started to sort through some of our things in storage and are attempting to down-size.
Should anyone have an interest or need of college or medical text books from the late 80's-early 90's please let me know in the next few weeks. I have a list of them that I can e-mail you and we can set up some way to get the books to you.
Interesting for Eli and Anna to see some of the 'treasures' we stored 17 years ago. Some items make us shake our heads and wonder what in the world we were thinking!
We emptied more than two steel barrels worth of stuff-mostly the old books.
In addition to the sorting of treasures, Cory will be calling churches this week attempting to line up a few more visits as well as to say thank you for the support.
We will be working on a longer presentation and working on paperwork while looking forward to spending the 4th of July lakeside with Kris's Dad's family!
