Farmer's Markets and Rambutan

Buying red peach palm at a fruit stand by the east coast.
Big farmer's market on the main road to Squirres. Costa Ricans like BIG peach palm. Free samples. Hard to eat it plain it was so dry, but good. Usually eaten with coffee or mayonaise. Tom didn't like peach palm.

Fruit seeds ready to surface-dry before our flight.

About 7 pounds/1,000 peach palm seeds

Rambutan.

Rambutan was one of our favorites. We bought about 15 pounds for seed and ate most of the fruit. The kids in Haiti are going to go crazy over this fruit when it starts producing.
