March 20th -Reflection

For the second day the clouds weep causing a pitter patter of rain drops on the tin roof.

Thinking of the plants and trees need for rain causes thankfulness for the life giving water.

Thinking of the thousands of Haitian men, women and children living under sheets, pieces of tin and with muddy water floors causes pain. So much suffering in Haiti and no easy answers.

As Easter Sunday grows closer I think more and more about this life and the next. Unfortunately most of the media in this world bombards people with wrong priorities and misguided principles. "They" to often shape our goals and dreams, complicating and cheapening the lives that we live.

May the Lord guild my family and I. May each of us experienced this life to the fullest-each pain or joy shaping us for the life to come. May we see all sides of issues and judge not those who think or act different from us [and become more Christ like in the process]

May the refining fire make us better, not bitter.

My mind has been full of the things that there are 'no easy answers' for. I really like this blog and also pray that this experience and this world in general can be used by God to shape us into better...not bitter, people. Well said. You and your family are in our prayers too and we are here for you!
