Friday morning update

Looks like Kris couldn't call last night or this morning. They are probably busy working by now at 6:40. All I get when I call is circuit busy recordings.

I heard yesterday that the government talked to the gas stations so now they are all open around Cap Haitian and selling gas even though there aren't any tanker trucks coming from Port au Prince. So they had stopped selling before their stocks were very low. I also heard that a boat brought some gas to Cap Haitian. I heard banks opened but the one in Limbe didn't have an internet connection yesterday.

It looks like recovery in the Port au Prince area is happening much faster that what is typical with hurricanes. Markets around here are normal. Maybe we won't have as much trouble getting supplies for the teams to work with as I thought we would.

There has been a huge influx of people to LaGonave, most of the boats are carrying in passengers instead of food. The south side of LaGonave is reporting severe food and water shortages but international relief is starting to come in.

We continue to pray for all of Haiti (that includes YOU, DR. KRIS, ELI & ANNA). We love you and know that God is in control. "He will make a way, where there seems to be no way. He works in ways we cannot see, He will make a way...." Do you know that song? Kathy & Al Brouard
