Dec. Challenge Partners

Thank you for partnering with us in prayer and for the encouraging notes you sent. Some bumps in the road already today that have been discouraging but it is a big help knowing we're not alone. Reading your E-mails and knowing that we have a good prayer team behind us helped already and it isn't even December yet.

It was very encouraging to be able to tell Pastor Rigo that over 30 messages had come in from people who have agreed to pray and many of them planning to share with churches, small groups or friends.

He mentioned a couple of requests to me this morning.

The first comes with the upsetting news that the team from the USA isn't coming. Pastor Rigo had been trying for the last couple of weeks to reach this team by phone and E-mail. Just over a week ago he went ahead and started to advertise in the churches and local area that we had a Pediatrician and generalist coming from the USA.

Today he received the E-mail that told him that they had decided two weeks ago that they weren't coming. Pastor is worried that the enemy will use this against our clinic- that folks will think that he intentionally deceived people to get more to come to the clinic and be angry. This team had also said they were brining thousands of dollars of donated medications. These medications will not be available to the clinic and hospital patients.

A few weeks ago Pastor Rigo fired one of the night watchmen who wasn't trust worthy. One problem was that instead of keeping livestock out of the yard he tied his own cows and goats up at night on the compound. More than once they got loose and once even made their way up to Cory's tree nursery. Thankfully the damage was limited and only about 10 small banana plants were killed. Pastor Rigo hasn't been able to find a good man for the night watchman job.

We also hope to get a lightning damaged inverter/battery charger working again to give the clinic and hospital more regular electricity at a lower cost. An electrical repair man did some work on it last week but it isn't working yet.

Counting on your prayers,
Dr. Kris
Fauche Wesleyan Medical staff.

What a shame and SO disappointing that the medical people aren't coming. I'm so sorry to hear that. I will print your prayer requests and the children and I will make them part of our school day this month.
