21 Oct.

Cory's trip to Cap Haitian yesterday went well. He dropped off our hundreds of newsletters to be mailed after flying MFI back to the USA. He met a man at the airport who is working with gardening classes and micro loans and they exchanged contact information. He also did a bit of shopping-and was able to help out a new missionary couple from Canada at the store.

We continued to work at school. I'm almost done updating a book full of information about trees, plants and exotic veggies found on Fauche's campus. We have also started piles of clothes for our trip.

Today the other two doctors were both working in clinic so I only saw one elderly lady who came for her second high blood pressure visit. The first medication wasn't enough so we added a second one. Will hopefully see her again in 3 weeks.

The other fun visit was with Ted [not correct spelling]. Ted is Pastor Immanuel's first grandchild. Onyx and his wife live with Pastor Immanuel on the compound. Onyx works with Fauche's Compassion's Child Survival Program.

Ted was fine. Ted was born by C-section on Oct 12th. He and mom returned to Fauche about 1 week later.

Unfortunately his mom became very ill and was readmitted in just a couple days. While the details of her illness remain sketchy to me-she had a major psychological break as well as an infection. She remains hospitalized even today.

Onyx stopped by yesterday and reported that she is doing a bit better. She is again able to recognize people, talk a bit on the phone and let folks know when she needs something. Please pray for this family.

Also pray for Pastor Rigo's youngest sister. A couple of weeks ago she started to have trouble sleeping-seeing people in her room coming to hurt her. She is in Cap Haitian under a doctor's care. He reported on Monday she was doing a bit better but he had had to stay up all night with her on Sunday-as she feels safer with her brother there.
