Cory has been mowing the grass for two afternoons. He has checked out the trees and we're happy that only a couple avocado didn't live. One had been eaten by goats twice. On the other hand one of the trees from Puerto Rico that had no leaves is growing!
Today men from all over the Northern District will be arriving on the compound for the yearly men's mission conference.
The lady who cooks for us 3 days a week showed up today. Unfortunately with the delay at the airport waiting for luggage the shopping was cut short. So the last couple days we have had: homemade macaroni/cheese/ham, ham/cheese sandwiches and ham/cheese omelets. Cory was able to get to market today so our chooses have expanded. More shopping is planned for on the 14th when Cory plans to travel to Cap Haitian for the shipped cargo.
Pictures: Sleeping at the airport [not comfortable but the price was right] Trees from seeds in Michigan. Banana plants. Grapes!
For those of you who check the blog daily-it looks like it is going to be in the afternoons that I have a chance to blog not mornings.

Glad you got home safe and sound. What are you studying this year for Sonlight? We did Core 5 Eastern Hemisphere last year but took our time and only made it half way through. This year we did Core 3, but only made it through week 21 so I think we are going to switch to Alt Core 3/4 to finish up Am History by next Spring with 3 of the kids and my oldest will do Alt 7 by himself. Even though we LOVE Sonlight, we can't seem to get it all done by June!
We're doing Core 2 and 7-or the second half of world history. My kids don't have much else to do so school takes up most of our day. Last year we adveraged 6 days of lessons a week-with occasional few hours of school on Sat. We plan to do Core 5 next and then American. We also realy like Sonlight.
Oh, the airport hotel does not look too comfy! It sounds like it will be a while before you want ham or cheese too.. I wish you had some of the groceries you left for us!
We had ham and cheese last night too. But we still like it. Enjoy.
