20 July 09-21 July.

We had a good weekend. Uneventful, which can be nice.

Happy Birthday to my baby brother. The flamboya trees are celebrating! A plus to hot dry weather are these beautiful trees.
I heard a bit of thunder over the mountain as well as the lawn mower when I was writing my first draft of this blog [no I didn't forget on Monday]. 'I hope that we get rain as we continue to be dry. Cory hopes for rain as well but would like to get the lawn mowed first.' Well Cory didn't finish the lawn and I didn't get the blog posted but we had a nice couple inches of rain!

Monday the footers for the new church building were started.

Today the Northern District Women's Conference will start on the compound. The youth's conference has been postponed until August.

Update on the clinic situation-the board has gone to the lawyer an presented the clinic's financial paperwork to the Haitian government with a request to be allowed to lower the medical director's salary. They should be learning more soon.

The price of a visit to clinic had been dropped this spring but visits remain low. I went down to clinic this [Monday] morning and saw two people. Because both the other doctors were also working I thought it best to return home for school. Before I made it to the house I met up with Pastor Rigo the administrator and we spend some time walking through the buildings, dreaming of some improvements that need to be made and talking about teams.

Please continue to pray for this important ministry.

"Boring is Good." That's the phrase we came up with during the first time I was in the hospital fighting leukemia.
Beautiful flowers.
We will continue to pray for the ministry there and your family.
God bless you!
