Feb. 2, 2009

One of the challenges of hosting a work team is keeping them busy. Getting supplies, tools [both what is available and having to share], language barriers, weather-all these can complicate a project. The teams work with Haitians as well with project money helping with pay so many hands were busy today.

After a restful rainy day everyone jumped into work-here is a partial list of what was worked on today.

Foundation dug and sand transported for the tool shed.

Old tin removed, boards replaced that were rotten and new tin placed on the small house.

Door made for House of Hope.

Bookshelf and 2 small tables varnished. Ceiling tiles painted for the first time.

Great peanut sauce for rice, brownies, cooking banana chips and other good foods made and eaten.

School worked on and laundry done.

More electric wiring put up in the House of Hope.

Consultation by E-mail and communications [mostly] up to date.

Some agricultural work done. And more.....

We are so privileged to have wonderful team members who bring to us- hard work, teachable skills, money for projects, quick laughs, friendly attitudes, flexibility, willing hearts and helpful hands. We thank those back home who share their family members with us-thanks for letting them come and praying for them while their here!
