Covid and Rain

Been a long 10 days but we are thankfully on the mend.

Cory ordered us some Covid tests for when we head to the USA as they are much cheaper with good enough internet can be done at home.

Our teammates brought them in last week so we arranged for Ti Louie to meet them in front of a police station on their way to the Ortlip Center.

Due to the afternoon threats of rain he stayed with family before heading up early on Thursday.

We watched the how-to video during early morning unmetered bandwidth, but didn't realize we had to download a phone app.

Well, most of the rest of the day consisted of: Cory walking to a couple spots to try to find a signal for the phone and load the app; getting the quad running so that he and Fritz could head over to the neighbor's property to try another location; quad battery is worse than we thought so had to walk back home for jumper-cables and truck and me to drive the quad back; multiple tries for our slow internet to connect and get each test done-takes about 20 minutes when it works.

Someone comes on line, talks you through the test while watching you do it. Then a timer is set and the test sits being videoed for 15 min. Now someone else comes on line to walk you through the test results and tell you how to get electronic copies of the results.

So Cory and I both tested positive, while Fritz tested negative.

Dr. Bob was kind to write us our 'letters of recovery' which say we can be out of isolation and therefore can travel next week.

We have retreated into our relatively quiet bedroom almost each afternoon when the hard rains arrive; over 11 1/2 inches in the last 10 days!

Thankfully there has only been a few times that minor mopping was needed.

Cory worked on the roof today, fixing more of the seams that were installed backwards, to eliminate some leaks.
