May at Delice

The rainy season has arrived. Our vegetable gardens and the local bean and corn gardens are doing well.

Compost or fertilizer is required for success with most of the soil types around  here and the extra work is paying off this year.

Year old bell peppers are making a comeback.

The nursery is still full and we wait for the fence to start planting

We shared about 30 trees with the director of the local school.

We continue to give agriculture and health courses with devotions most Fridays.

Granny Smith and a few other apples are growing well but most of the apples are having trouble coming out of dormancy so it seems our altitude is a bit too low for those varieties or the dry season too long for the thin rocky soil.

The new irrigation pond is almost finished.
