Cory Post includes video from Haiti

We have been enjoying time together in Michigan with Eli and Anna.

Anna studying for finals.

Eli works four 10-hour days a week.

Fritz is doing a bit of school but mostly on vacation.

Kris finished her 2020 Continuing Medical Education and on-line study.

I'm studying and buying things to bring back to Haiti.

While we have faster internet in Michigan I can post video.

Temperature is mild year-round on the mountain in Haiti.

Wind and humidity are more of a challenge. This video is from 2019, just a rainstorm. Hail came a week later. Wind and leaf disease have kept corn yield and quality much lower than its potential at least 3 of the past 4 years.

Since we have fenced in land, I thought it would be good to have fresh corn on the cob after the local fields are done.

The workers also thought it would work but the wind stirs up so much leaf disease that the local corn shown here at the pollination/silk stage, planted about 2 months late, ended up being more than 90% loss even though it didn't get much direct wind damage.

We sampled our first asparagus about 15 months after seed germination. So much faster than the 3-4 years required in the USA. A pastor with visitors were excited to see this high-value crop growing well.

They were also impressed with the bell peppers.
