Mid-October

The last couple of weeks we've been preparing for the first visit of 2020 from Global Partner's teammates.

Many thousands of weeds pulled, and extra cleaning occurred

This was the first trip up for Greg, our Global Partner's area director.

The others had visited before but more than a year ago, and so got to see many changes.

We enjoyed feeding them a late lunch (late arrival due to traffic jam), showing them the house and terrace gardens for a few hours with a quick walk through the plantation ruins and Fort Dwet.

Because the terrace weeding was mostly done Cory and I spent an hour this morning taking some short video clips that we hope to share now and then about different plants and trees.

Before the visit we also celebrated Cory.

He made a supply run to St. Marc early October, his last for the year we hope.

Fritzlin and I continue to work on forth grade while looking forward to vacation time over the holidays.

We continue to be thankful for internet to connect with Eli, Anna, family and friends as well as shopping for supplies to pick up when we're in the USA; voting; keeping up with some of the news; messaging/worshiping with teammates.

Because of 5 inches of rain earlier this week, the work on the Reclaim Terrace paused due to the pit/pond where they are digging dirt for the terrace holding water and making it too muddy to work.

They did get some sweet potato vines planted in part of the terraces.

But with dry season rapidly approaching, the work can resume soon. In the meantime the guys are weeding/mulching the trees.
