Visitors deliver..

Looks like social distancing on the garden tour.

The last two weekends we enjoyed some down time: games, reading, videos and a hike to the fort.

Last weekend Pastor Clotair from Port au Prince brought up a couple of agriculturists to see Delice and talk about the land and possible future projects.

He delivered a dozen big mangos, our mail, school books for Fritz, and seeds for Cory.

When living in a remote area, gratitude comes naturally when folks help you out by transporting needed supplies, saving you a rough trip.

Nice to have visitors even for a few minutes.

While we're not big foodies we did get excited with our first tastes of this year's avocados and field corn from the village.

Still enjoying tomatoes.

Corn planted in the old plantation ruins.

View of our house roof shining in the sun from the fort with the plantation ruins in between.

With the last terrace completed and planted, the guys spent last week cutting down bushes near our new trees that are competing for the limited minerals in the soil.

Cory continues to dole out his precious fertilizer while pondering when and how he can purchase more.

This week the guys turned their attention to the path area behind the house.

As dry season approaches, fewer plants, vegetables, or trees can be planted unless close enough, and important enough, to irrigate for the months without rain.

New books to enjoy enhance our learning in 4th grade.
