End of February 2020

Dry season continues but thankfully we continue to have enough water in the house cistern to water the plants in the nursery and the new trees around the property.

The new agricultural pond is ready for a cement layer on the floor.

This week the floor was prepared  by cleaning the rock floor and digging out where coral seams had turned to dirt.

A coat of finer cement was painted on the walls.

Today was work on the porch shed/room area. It is now excavated and ready for work on the foundation and walls.

One project we're already benefiting from is putting up tin ceiling over our bedrooms and covering it with foam leftover from the interior walls.

Before.
It not only moderates the temperatures of our rooms but we can't hear the wind rattling the tin roof nearly as much.

The real test will be when the heavy rains pound the tin, we look forward to being able to escape the loudness that blocks out any possibility of conversation or listening to music by heading to the bedrooms.

Cory continues to plant seeds, weed, fertilize the nursery, and water. He's also keeping the rodent and slug population down.
Also happy that 2 ceilings only took a couple hours each to install
As the land around the mission is worked up to prepare for the planting or heavily grazed, the fenced off area becomes more noticeable.

South property line

At least the slugs don't seem to eat much during the dry season
