September 2

5 gallon jug cut in half makes a good indoor nursery.
Asparagus (potential import substitute) growing well.

Last week the guys worked up the dirt and compost in the extra planting pits made last spring so we can plant more squash and sweet potatoes. In the spring the pits will be ready for planting more trees.

This week they will also reinforcing the fence with stakes and rocks around the base to keep small animals like piglets out. It is amazing how much rooting and moving small rocks 4 little piglets did in the few days before the owner could be found and told to move them away.

Fritzlin and Kris made progress in school, and I worked on the Konsey book index edit.

Leon brought up some "little Cory" bananas from a plant I gave
him last year. Standing by  young bananas doing
well in our former gravel pit.
On Friday we acknowledged the day being 2 years since Fritzlin became a Thede, although we didn’t know it at the time. A day of big, mixed feelings that ended with his requested meal of pizza and chocolate pie. We also ate the first three, small, tasty strawberries off our new plants. We praise the Lord for putting Fritzlin in our family, while we continue to pray for his Haitian family.

Anna moved back to Calvin and spent a busy week learning about her job on dorm leadership, helping move people in, and getting to know folks! Her sophomore year of classes start in the morning.

Eli worked with a finicky 3-d printer, as he continues to adjust to his job. He likes the variety.   This week we will miss being together to celebrate him turning 22, but will be praying and thinking of him!!  You’re gift is coming Eli! Love you tons!!

Haiti once again has a fuel shortage, limiting travel and making life harder. We pray for peace, provision and mostly for revival.

Small strawberries but it has only been 6 weeks since planting dormant plants

Celebrating 2 years since Haitian legal document finished making Fritz a Thede
