Last week in May

The sun is shining after many days of rain for south-west Michigan. We made a lot of good progress on the Konsey book edit this week.

Last weekend we enjoyed our visit to Dighton Wesleyan as well as connecting again with Fritzlin's first foster family  from COTP who now live and minister in Michigan.

We continued to work on our pre-deployment list, aiming on returning to Haiti in mid-July.

Earlier this year when I looked at the amount of financial support we needed to return for a new term I struggled to turn it all over to the Lord.

My head knew that the Lord could provide but my heart feared how long we may have to wait and how much travel and work it may entail.

I remember telling Cory that I was going to intentionally start thanking the Lord for every penny. Didn't know where or how the support would occur but would be grateful every time I wanted to start to stress about it.

And the Lord has encourage us in so many ways: first time gifts, repeat gifts, RADICAL support and Faith Promise, and continued faithful support.

Having folks support the Lord's work through us is so humbling. To have folks who only know us through words on a page or screen, who may see us in person every 4+ years step up and join our team is such an encouragement.

Recently we also received financial support from people who served in Haiti with us. Friends who've been alongside us ministering, working, and living in Haiti. A much different perspective than those who've only seen us share in church on a Sunday morning or know us from posts/emails.

Even more than in our early years living in Haiti we realize how important having a strong, faithful support team is for our continued healthy ministry. We want to connect better, listen to your stories, and hold you up in prayer.

If you did not receive our email update please let us know to add you to our contact list. Feel free to share your personal prayer requests and praises with us. We're very thankful for new folks on our support team.

Tomorrow we head out to Ohio to visit our Luthern friends at Holy Cross church after we celebrate our nephew Gavin's high school graduation and Army enlistment.
