Week two...post Evacuation

When the unpredictability of life threatens to overwhelm, I find I really need to be intentional about praising the Lord for the blessings.

I'm thankful we were able to see Anna in Calvin's Rangeela.

I'm thankful for opportunities, personal and on the news, to help tell our story and that of our Haitian friends.

I'm thankful for the additional time with family and for easy internet.

I'm thankful: my computer is backed up, I've made good progess this week in my yearly continuing medical education requirement, we've started lining up church visits, and we've helped both college kids look/apply for summer jobs.

I'm thankful for library books and that Fritzlin can continue his school year.

I'm thankful that things calmed down in Haiti and that many students returned to school this week, and that roads and businesses  are open.

I'm thankful we can stay in touch with our Global Partners team and pray with them via social media.

I'm thankful that we have a place in Michigan to call 'home' when we're not home.

I'm thankful for Haitian friends praying for us and maintaining Délice, Fauche and LaGonave.

I'm thankful for the many, many prayer partners lifting us up and our Haitian brothers and sisters during this difficult time.

Praying for peace and protection during this carnival weekend.

Praying for continued peace after Carnival so that the Global Partner's team can return.
