Frustrations turn to Praise

Yesterday started with many frustrations: cows in the garden; news that after waiting a week for the dump truck to bring up supplies, they may not all fit on the truck; that after paying double to transport cement up the mountain by motorcycle, the masons could not work until the block came up on the truck.....

So I decided not to think about the house, I gave it all the Lord [reminding Him that it was ultimately His house, His money, His time].
My focus then turned to Thanksgiving cooking: pumpkin pies done, pumpkin bread, turkey legs roasted and processed, dressing preparation done, corn casserole, achocha pickles made [blog to come on this ancient Incan, but new to us vegetable]. Anna also made bread and cinnamon rolls for breakfast.

The end of the day ended with many praises:

  • one cow issue resolved; they were look alike cows, Cory was ready to fire an employee, thinking he was letting his cow repeatedly get in the garden.
  • dump truck made it up with ALL supplies, during the day and without rain
  • the motorcycles with cement would have needed to come up anyway
  • welders made good progress on one of the 'roof hips'
  • road crew smoothed out one bad spot and moved large crystals for me
  • school and cooking done
And both welding crew and masons at work already before 8 a.m. this morning.

Cory loading the truck with bricks and cement to get the work started on the walls.

Sunny start to the day.

Praising the Lord for the progress and His many blessings.

Thinking of our families and the Thanksgiving celebrations today.

So very thankful for all the people who pray, support, and encourage us.

Praising the Lord that our friend's baby is a bit more alert while they continue to wait for answers about the seizures.

Praising the Lord for His goodness and faithfulness.

We will share a traditional Thanksgiving feast tonight with some special people.
