June 15th Team Arrives.

YEAH the team and all their bags made it to Fauche.
Our day started after a quick bit to eat and filtering water-at 5:30 a.m. when we started off in the back of a rented truck for Cap Haitian. Made good time but as the team's flight arrived at 8a.m. we waited less than an hour. Not bad at all for Haiti! Pastor Phil also arrived on time....but the bags flew to Haiti on the next plane.

Using our time wisely we visited one of the Wesleyan churches and it's school, followed by a visit to the store and waited for the bags up on the nice roof top garden. Then back to the airport and shortly on the road to home. A hot, bumpy, ride left everyone hot and thirsty.
Chris, Kathleen and the cooks spent the morning preparing for the team: cooking up rice, beans, sauce, fried both chicken legs and sweet potatoes. Fans and cool drinks made everyone feel better. Rest time for most but not the kids who decided to make new friends and burn energy running around.

A tour of the campus followed and talking. We so enjoy fellowshipping with members of family and support team! Some unpacking also occurred. Now showers [cold ones folks are looking forward to] supper and more fellowship to follow. I hear that pages will be added to the teams blog tonight if possible. I posted the link to the teams blog last time. Check it out.
