Tuesday Cory and Chris traveled to Cap Haitian to met the MFI plane to pick up cargo.
An example of items-refrigerator, weed whacker, English Bibles, suture kits, zip-locks [Moringa powder, Artemisia, seeds], folders for English class. Chris/Kath's care packages....
They also did a bit of shopping and ate lunch. Those who stayed behind benefited in that they brought us back .......... cheese burgers. They were good!
Because we now have second doctor working for the next three months on a trial bases on Tuesdays and Thursdays those are my days off of clinic. The kids and I reviewed the last week of school and filled in a couple holes. We then enjoyed a full day of school.
Eli's is learning about small pox, finishing up 8th grade math, learning about Napoleon, and writing poetry. Anna is at the half way point in 3rd grade math, learning about the Incas, and reading a book about Rose Wilder. [Laura Ingalls Wilder's daughter]
Cory is busy with the garden work. Last week only 3 folks showed for class but this week he had 14. Lots of questions were asked. A few were eager to arrange for Cory to visit their land and gardens. They each received a Moringa tree as well as a small package of seeds. Some of the seeds include okra, cucumber, squash, wax gourd, and roselle.
Chris and Kathleen's English classes are full. They ended up with over 35 members in the beginners class and 25 in the advanced. Time will tell if all are able to pay for the class and continue to come. Yesterday the requirements were reviewed for receiving the certificate at the end of the course. People here want to learn English but many have a hard time finding the time and money to attend a class.
