March 20th. 2009

Popcorn orchid. I will not tell you how many blurry pictures it took to get these two. The flowers are about the size of my thumbnail.

We had the day off of school today to celebrate spring and our new school supplies. Unfortunately the banana plants didn't make the flight yesterday. And today Cory drove all the way into the airport [left at 6 am] hoping to pick up his plants from Puerto Rico. He had tried to call the airlines but they wouldn't answer the phone-no plants.

The good thing is we were planning on driving to Cap tomorrow for a hospital meeting so he will drop me and a couple other board members off at the church and go on to the airport. We just pray that the sensitive plants make it alive.

Had a brief but hard rain shower this afternoon so the drying laundry got sprinkled again. Cory is showing his trees and plants off to a long time missionary to Haiti who used to visit Fauche back when there were lots of missionaries here.

We hear that the plants that were delivered by the truck yesterday mostly made it OK. Some on the top of the truck lost their dirt via the wind and the bumps. We hope they all make it.
