Today is a national holiday in Haiti. Near what is now Cap Haitian the final major battle between the Haitians and French was fought in 1803. Haiti soon became the first free black republic in the world. No school.
A lot of work was again accomplished yesterday. Scraping paint, painting paint, putting up hardboard for the ceiling, cutting hardboard, sewing, working on a sign for clinic, working on a news letter, weeding the garden, preparing more cups of dirt for Moringa trees, preparing meals, laundry.........
Don't think the team plan to take a holiday today. They may wander down to watch a volleyball match or so. Ceiling needs to be finished, window bars painted, sewing, sign painting, printing of envelope labels and newsletters, planing of Moringa trees and filling more cups, stringing of electrical lines, watering of trees, plumbing.......
Thank you for your prayers.
